New | Hotel de la Ville in the heart of Rome
Rocco Forte Hotels has unveiled their second hotel in Rome last week, Hotel de la Ville, following a substantial renovation of a gorgeous historical 18-century palazzo at the top of the Spanish steps. Located in the heart of Rome, the elegant hotel offers spectacular views of Rome. Hotel de la Ville is perfectly located to explore the city by foot.
Suite de la Ville
The 89 spacious rooms and 15 suites are beautifully decorated and of course well-appointed. The Suite de la Ville located on the 8th floor is accessible by a private elevator and offers breathtaking views of the city from its two panoramic terraces.
Designer Tommaso Ziffer, in collaboration with Olga Polizzi, was inspired by The Grand Tour of the 18th century when English and German nobles collected pieces of art during their cultural journeys to European cities. Using the backdrop of the timeless palazzo, Ziffer has recreated a contemporary retrospective of The Grand Tour by taking guests on a playful voyage of discovery.
At the center of the hotel, one will find the enchanting courtyard. It’s the perfect place to get out of the bustling city for a while to enjoy some peace and quiet. Fusing three buildings into one, the courtyard design has been lifted by George Carter, a designer who specializes in creating gardens inspired by the simple geometry of 17th century.
To keep within the Grand Tour concept, obelisks and black and gold touches bestow a mystical feel within the courtyard. Last but not least, we’ll have to mention the 550 square meter spa and the cosy terrace with bar on the 6th floor.
We say hooray for this gorgeous new hotel addition in Rome! Did you ever go to Rome?
